Beaver Trapping

New Hampshire-2007

This one I like to call, "a little beaver sign." The water is a little creek backed up-that is normally a few feet wide and a few hundred yards long at most!

The beaver in this area took down these (total 7) trees and use them as snacks as they do other work, collect food for the winter, etc. Each day they "stop by" and have a chew...

This one I call owa beaver. We normally explain there is little or no pain etc. when trapping, hunting deer etc. to our son .In this case, we took the "big ouch" approach as he kept wanting to help me set the 330 Connibears. Wanting him farther back in case of a jump, etc., we took the ouch approach. On this day I had both my wife and little son with me on the trapline. It was a great morning, not too cold (32 degrees or so-Fahrenheit), and there was lots to see for Caden in the woods!
